1. What this is

Land Map is an entertainment / novelty web app. Users can "claim" virtual plots on a real-world map for fun, upload an image, and see their name and holdings on a public leaderboard.

2. Not real property

Buying a plot on Land Map does not grant any real, legal ownership of physical land, any property right, deed, or title of any kind. It is a purely digital record displayed on this website only, and has no legal effect whatsoever outside of it.

3. No guarantee of permanence

While we intend to keep purchased plots visible on the map indefinitely, this website, the map, and all associated records could be modified, discontinued, or removed at any time, for any reason, without notice or compensation.

4. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. All sales are final; purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

5. Content you upload

You must own the rights to any image you upload, and it must not contain illegal, offensive, or infringing content. Uploaded images go through automated moderation, and we reserve the right to remove any content or account at our discretion, without refund.

6. Website links

When you buy a plot, you may optionally attach a link to your own website, shown when someone clicks your plot on the map or finds you on the leaderboard. We do not guarantee any amount of traffic, clicks, visibility, or search engine (SEO) benefit from this link. We reserve the right to remove any link, without refund, if it points to illegal, deceptive, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate content.

7. Public display

Your chosen nickname, uploaded image, website link (if any), and purchase details (plot location and size) are displayed publicly on the map and on the leaderboard for anyone to see.

8. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
